Black Princesses tactician, Yussif Basigi is leaving Hasaacas Ladies after an illustrious 21-year career, during which he played a crucial role in shaping the club into a dominant force in African women’s football.
With a trophy cabinet boasting four Ghana Women’s Premier League titles, the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B Qualifiers, and a historic debut in the African Women’s Champions League final, Basigi’s tenure has been nothing short of remarkable.
He guided Hasaacas Ladies to second place in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt where they lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
As he departs for Simba Queens in Tanzania, Basigi is set to bring his wealth of experience and success to a new challenge, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
Basigi is a CAF Licence A holder and has a degree in Health, Physical Training and Recreation from the University of Education, Winneba.
Basigi has had opportunity to handle the Black Queens as an Assistant coach from 2011-2013, moved to head coach from 2013-2017 and now head coach of the Black Princesses.
Under his belts, the Black Queens clinched Gold at the 2015 African Games in Congo Brazzaville.
