The Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has vehemently refuted claims that food distributed by her team at polling stations in Ablekuma West was rejected by constituents.
According to her, the food is distributed was distributed at every station to their polling agents and not to voters as enticement.
“The food we send is food that we send to all our agents in every polling station, every election, and you are aware of that. So if we are sending food packs to our agents, how do you create the impression that we are seeking to induce voters in the queue with food?”
Hon. Ekuful further emphasized that alongside her supporters, she is ready to ensure peace in the constituency but will, however, not tolerate any misbehaviour from anyone.
.”I and my people are prepared to do whatever it takes to promote the peace in this constituency, but if they come and misbehave,we will meet them squarly”
The MP charged reporters to ascertain what they were reporting and make correct reports.
