The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of an Electoral Commission (EC) official in the Kintampo South Constituency of the Bono East Region for alleged electoral offences.

The suspect identified as Dery Joseph is accused of issuing approximately 15 ballot papers that omitted the name of the first presidential candidate. This incident reportedly occurred at the Ampesika-Bayere polling station during the ongoing general elections.

According to the police, an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the full details of the offence.

Authorities have emphasized their commitment to ensuring electoral integrity and urged the public to report any irregularities they may encounter.
