Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Hamilton, has reflected on a decade of hosting her signature event, The Experience, as she prepares for the highly anticipated “Akwantupa Experience @ 10” concert in London, scheduled for October 5, 2024.

Speaking to the media, she shared her journey, highlighting the significant role her faith has played in organizing the event over the years.

She credited her unwavering belief in God and the growth of her dedicated team as her primary motivators.

“When I look at pictures from when we first began and see the people I started with, and how far God has lifted them, it keeps me motivated. I took this step with no clear direction, only faith in the One who called me. Looking back at the different phases we’ve been through, I see how God has lifted me and my team, and the fact that they’ve stayed with me through it all – that’s the beauty of it. Their blessings are evident”

Reflecting on the humble beginnings of The Experience, Hamilton expressed gratitude for the powerful impact the event has had on audiences over the years.

She also recalled some of the emotional moments along the way, including a touching encounter with a woman whose marriage was saved after being inspired by one of her songs.

“I sang Nsenkyerene Nyankopon at Bantama, and later, while leaving a private party, a woman approached me in tears. She told me that my performance of that song saved her marriage. You start to wonder, what if I hadn’t done it? What if I hadn’t lifted that song? It’s these moments that make me and my team wake up every morning, driven to continue this work.”
