The Black Stars of Ghana will depart for Berkane, Morocco, on Friday, September 6, following a narrow 1-0 defeat to the Black Sable Antelopes of Angola on Thursday.

The Black Stars are set to face the Ménas of Niger in their second group match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers (Group F).

Ghana will take on Niger at the Berkane Municipal Stadium on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Ghana is determined to bounce back after the painful loss to Angola. Niger, likewise, is seeking their first win in the qualifiers after a defeat to Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan in their opening game.

There has been significant criticism regarding the condition of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which ultimately impacted the Black Stars’ performance. The poor state of the pitch prevented the four-time African champions from playing their usual free-flowing football.

However, the Berkane Municipal Stadium promises a high-quality artificial turf, providing the Black Stars with the opportunity to showcase their footballing prowess.

Ghana currently sits third in Group F with no points, while Niger is at the bottom, also without points. Angola leads the group with 3 points, followed by Sudan, also with 3 points.
