Health Promotions Officer of the Ayawaso West Municipal Health Directorate, Naomi Odonkor has confirmed the arrival of vaccines to various sub-regions in the constituency to facilitate immunization against childhood diseases such as Measles and Poliomyelitis.

The arrival of the vaccines was part of the Ghana Health Service’s initiative to regionally distribute the vaccines that arrived on 11th March, 2023. The vaccines were brought to counter the nationwide shortage of vaccines in the country, a situation that raised concerns across the country and increased the vulnerability of children to vaccine-preventable diseases.
