Animus Domini and DNA & Partners have booked their places in the grand finale of The Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah Inter-Firm Moot Court Competition 2025, following two fiercely contested semi-final rounds at the University of Ghana School of Law.
The moot court competition, which has been annually held for the past few years, is organized by the Law Students’ Union and sponsored by one of Ghana’s leading law firms, Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah. It seeks to sharpen the advocacy and legal research skills of students while providing a platform for practical courtroom experience. Winners and outstanding participants receive cash prizes and internship opportunities with the sponsoring firm, further bridging academic training and legal practice.
This year’s hypothetical facts include themes of : misinformation and misuse of the media and restriction of the ownership of media entities by politically exposed persons.
After spirited courtroom arguments Animus Domini triumphed in one room, while DNA & Partners triumphed in another.
Speaking to Univers News at the sidelines of the event, Lydia Adaklutse of Animus Domini expressed her excitement,
“We’re very excited and relieved. We gave it everything and we’re looking forward to an even better performance in the finals.”
Naa Adjeley Koney also shared her joy, saying, “We’re truly grateful to God. It’s been a journey of growth and teamwork. The finals will be another opportunity to shine.”
The grand finale is scheduled for June 4, 2025, at the Law School auditorium. Justices of the superior courts of Ghana are expected to judge the final round, adding to the prestige and intensity of the competition.
All eyes are now on the two standout firms—Animus Domini and DNA & Partners—as they prepare to battle for the coveted title. Who wins? The courtroom will decide.
