The Africa Non-Profit Summit (ANPOS) 2026 has been held in Accra on May 12, 2026, aimed at bringing together representatives from non-governmental organisations, policymakers, and development partners to brainstorm and share valuable insights emerging within the evolving landscape of corporate partnerships and how to leverage the ecosystem to drive sustainable development across the continent.

The event was held at the ISSER Conference Facility of the University of Ghana under the theme: “Empowering Non-Profits: Innovation for Sustainable Impact.”

Speaking to the media, the Co-Founder of the National Consortium for Voluntary Organizations, Shirley Abedi-Boafo, stated that the main goal of the ANPOS Summit, which is in its second year, is to create a common platform for non-profit organisations with a strong presence across the African continent.

“Over the years, within the global non-profit ecosystem, there have been summits and platforms that bring together non-profit entities to network, share ideas, and explore opportunities to address pressing challenges facing countries on the continent,” she said.

“In 2024, the idea was conceived to create an indigenous platform focused on showcasing the impactful work of non-profit organisations in Africa and connecting them with development partners, policymakers, and allied agencies to better understand the local dynamics underpinning their operations for improved outcomes,” she added.

The event drew strong participation from both local and international development partners, policymakers, academics, students, representatives of non-profit organisations operating in various sectors across Ghana and the continent, journalists, and members of the general public.
