Jordan Ayew is set to captain the Black Stars of Ghana in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers doubleheader against Sudan, scheduled for October 10 and 15. This follows Thomas Partey’s withdrawal from the squad due to illness.

According to the Black Stars’ captaincy order, André Ayew is the main captain, followed by Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey, and Jordan Ayew. However, with André and Amartey not called up and Partey unavailable, Jordan Ayew will lead the team as captain for the crucial ties against Sudan.

In addition to Thomas Partey, Joseph Paintsil, Ibrahim Osman, and Kingsley Schindler have also withdrawn due to injury. Michael Baidoo, Abu Francis, Jonas Adjetey, and Ibrahim Sadick have been called up by Coach Otto Addo to replace them.
