‎Paris Saint-Germain made history in the most dramatic fashion, overturning a two-goal deficit to beat Tottenham Hotspur on penalties and lift their first-ever UEFA Super Cup.

‎For over 80 minutes Tottenham looked destined to secure a famous victory. Goals from Micky van de Ven in the 39th minute and Cristian Romero in the 46th had Thomas Frank’s side in control, showcasing disciplined defending and clinical set-piece execution.

‎PSG, the newly crowned Champions League winners, found their champions’ spirit in the dying stages. Lee Kang-in fired home in the 85th minute to spark belief and Gonçalo Ramos headed in the equalizer deep into stoppage time to send the Stadio Friuli into a frenzy.

‎With no extra time in the Super Cup format the match went straight to penalties. Tottenham blinked first as Van de Ven and Mathys Tel missed their attempts while Nuno Mendes kept his cool to convert the decisive kick in a 4–3 shoot-out win.

‎The triumph handed PSG their maiden Super Cup and also made them the first French club to win the competition in its 49-year history. Manager Luis Enrique praised his side’s resilience, calling it “a victory built on belief, even when the odds were against us.”

‎For Tottenham it was a night of pride and pain. Frank’s men showed organization, bravery and moments of quality but the inability to close out the match and the cruel nature of penalties left them empty-handed. Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus was lively in attack and constantly probed PSG’s defence, drawing fouls and creating openings, but was ultimately denied a winner.

This was more than just a comeback. It was a statement of PSG’s growing dominance in European football, a team now capable of winning with both flair and grit.
