UG IT Directorate pledges support to Radio Univers for tech-driven innovation

The Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) at the University of Ghana’s Information Technology Directorate, Mr. Francis Boachie, has affirmed his team’s commitment to supporting Radio Univers in leveraging technology to drive innovation in broadcasting.

He made this known during a courtesy visit by the management of Radio Univers, led by General Manager Dr. Kwaku Botwe and the Station Officer Albert Benefo Buabeng. The visit aimed to foster collaboration between the university’s radio station and the IT Directorate.

“My team and I are always ready to support whenever the need arises because Radio involves many interfaces.”

He further emphasized the opportunities for innovation within the radio industry, particularly through the adoption of technologies already developed by the IT Directorate.

“We can begin to make some innovation out there using the technologies we have developed.”

The meeting concluded on a hopeful note, with both teams expressing enthusiasm about deepening their collaboration to advance the role of technology in campus broadcasting.
