Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, calls for unity and collective support from the club’s stakeholders, urging them to rally behind the team as they strive to salvage the season and finish the league on a high note.

Following a rocky start with two defeats, Oauttara and his team faced mounting pressure from supporters.

But they responded with a crucial 1-0 victory over Bechem United on matchday three, climbing out of the bottom spot and reigniting their season with a vital win at the University of Ghana Stadium.

In a post-match press conference, the Ivorian tactician appealed to the fans (Phobians) to refrain from hurling insults at the players and technical staff, encouraging them to express their dissatisfaction in a more constructive manner.

“We’re working for them [supporters]. I understand when they criticise us,” Ouattara said in a post-match interview.
“You can criticise us and say anything you like, but please do not insult [us]. What we need is unity. We need to stay together, and if that happens, I think we can achieve a lot.

In the short term, the University of Ghana stadium will serve as the home venue for the Ghanaian football giants, Hearts of Oak, for the 2024/25 season, until the Accra Sports Stadium renovations are completed and it is ready for use.
