Vision FC young prospect Iddrisu Shaban dies after a head injury in training

Iddrisu Shaban, a young prospect who plies his trade with the Tamale-based Vision Fc in the Zone Three of the Access Bank Division One League FC has passed away per the clubs report.

The report signifies that the player fell and crushed his head on the ground during a training session, sustained a terrible head injury and was surged to the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

Shabam tragically passed away after spending many days in the hospital receiving critical care at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.


In an official club statement, Vision FC affirmed the passing of Shaban and expressed their consent and condolence for the bereaved family.

The statement from Tamale Vision Football Club reads,

“We are extremely saddened to announce the tragic death of Iddrisu Shaban, a much-loved player, member, and friend of the Vision family. Our hearts, minds, and prayers go out to his Dad, his Mom, and all of the family and friends whose worlds have been turned upside down by their loss.”

Just a few days before his tragic death, the gifted young player who was loved by both teammates and supporters displayed his skills, particularly with an assist and an outstanding performance that helped his club defeat Tamale Dreams FC.

Unfortunately, Shaban could not live long to showcase his talent to the globe in what he loves doing most.

May his soul rest in peace perfect peace and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
