Following November’s internationals, football governing body Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has released its latest monthly Coca Cola rankings with Ghana dropping to 61st position in the world rankings.
The latest rankings made by FIFA comes after November’s internationals where the stars partook in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
Ghana managed to nick out a last gasp winner against Madagascar courtesy Iñaki Williams; this was the first goal he had scored for the Black Stars goal. But the Black Stars faulted in a match against Comoros as Ghana were dealt a major setback with their 1-0 defeat to the opponents.
The win against the Black stars proved pivotal for Les Coelacantes on and off the pitch, with Comoros now climbing nine places up the rankings to an all time high position, 119th.
Although dropping from 60th to 61st, Ghana managed to maintain its spot on the African rankings as 11th.
Meanwhile, 2022 FIFA World Champions, Argentina maintained top spot in the world rankings,with former champions France in second whiles England and Belgium moved a place higher; 3rd and 4th respectively at the expense of 2022 World Cup Quater-finalist, Brazil who dropped to 5th.
Netherlands also moved a place higher to 6th, displacing Portugal to 7th place. Spain, Italy and Croatia finally rounded up the top 10 rankings.
