Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) of Morocco have announced the passing of young left back, Oussama Falouh whose demise occurred last night after a tragic accident on October 11,2023.

The player had been admitted at the intensive care unit in a hospital in Casablanca after his car was crushed by a heavy vehicle 3 weeks ago. Haven sustained severe injuries as a result, Falouh eventually gave up the ghost in the evening of November 2, 2023 per club statement on Thursday night.

The Moroccan club members were in joyous spirits as the team etched their name in African football history by becoming the first club to progress to the final of the ongoing inaugural edition of the African Football league where they will take on South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.

But the joy of WAC was short lived as the North African giants are left to mourn the unfortunate passing of their left back.

Falouh joined Wydad Casablanca last summer after previous spells with the reserves of Angers and Strasbourg in France.

A relatively impressive week for Wydad Casablanca and African football has ended on a sour note with the demise of one of Morocco’s rising prospects.

WAC will however be aspiring to put smiles back on the faces of their fans and the nation of Morocco when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the African Football league final on Sunday. Sadly, they will have to do so without one of their own, Falouh Oussama.
