Hulk Hogan reported dead

Legendary WWE superstar Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71, TMZ Sports has reported.

According to the report, medics were dispatched to Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida, home in the early hours of Thursday, June 13, 2025, after a distress call was placed regarding a cardiac arrest. Emergency services, including several police vehicles and EMTs, were spotted outside the residence. Hogan was reportedly carried out on a stretcher and transported in an ambulance.

Just weeks before his reported death, Hogan’s wife, Sky, had denied rumours suggesting that the wrestling icon was in a coma, affirming that his heart was “strong” and that he was recovering from recent surgeries. In May 2025, he underwent a neck procedure that had sparked speculation about his declining health.

Hogan, born Terry Bollea, was widely celebrated for transforming professional wrestling into mainstream entertainment. His charismatic and theatrical in-ring persona won over fans across generations and helped bring the sport into the homes of millions around the globe.

In 1996, he shocked fans by turning heel and forming the infamous wrestling faction, New World Order (NWO), reinventing himself as “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan. This move revitalised his career and played a significant role in the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW.

He had many memorable moments throughout his career, including his epic showdown with The Rock at WrestleMania X8 in 2002 and the iconic bout with Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III.

In 2005, Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame but was removed in 2015 after a scandal involving racist remarks surfaced. However, he was later re-inducted in 2020 as part of the NWO.

Beyond the ring, Hulk Hogan also made strides in acting and reality television. He debuted in Hollywood with Rocky III in 1982 and went on to star in films like Suburban Commando, Mr. Nanny, and No Holds Barred. He also headlined the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best, alongside his then-wife Linda and children, Brooke and Nick.

Despite undergoing numerous surgeries from wrestling injuries—once remarking that he had “no original body parts left”—Hogan remained active. In May this year, he launched Real American Freestyle, an amateur wrestling league, with its debut set for August 30 on Fox Nation.

His larger-than-life presence will be missed in the world of sports and entertainment.
