The Vice President of the Republic, Professor Jane Naana Opoku- Agyemang has reportedly begun a three-week medical leave effective April 7 upon advice from her medical team.
This development comes on the back of the Veep suddenly falling ill after close of work on Friday, March 28, 2025 which led her to seek medical attention at the University of Ghana Medical Centre before flying out for additional treatment on her condition.
Media sources from the Presidency reveal that the latest decision is to afford her the appropriate medical attention and rest before she resumes her duties in due course .
The sources also ask Ghanaians both home and abroad to keep the Veep in prayers as she receives all the quality care and treatment from her medical team.
