UPSA is well-known for upholding a strict dress code, which emphasises decency and professionalism. The institution has long been recognised, both on and off campus, for encouraging students to appear in formal attire for lectures and official events.
Ahead of the incident, the University, through the Office of the Dean of Students, had reportedly issued a communique on June 30, 2025, reminding students to adhere to the dress code, warning that failure to do so would lead to disciplinary action.
While the move has drawn both praise and criticism from the public, it reaffirms the University’s long-standing commitment to discipline, modesty, and professionalism on campus.
As of now, UPSA management has not released an official statement addressing the viral video or confirming the identities of those affected.
