The University of Ghana Students Representative Council (UGSRC) Electoral Commission has stated that the 2022 SRC elections will come off on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
The elections, which first took place on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, were rescheduled due to, among other challenges, the inability of a large number of students to receive their voting links on time.
The elections were held online with assistance from the University of Ghana Computing Systems.
A statement signed by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Daniel Kwasi Dzrekey, indicated that the elections will now happen on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
It further stated that arrangements had been put in place to ensure that the elections were held successfully this time.
Meanwhile, the University of Ghana Computing is expected to begin sending voting links to students from Friday, October 28, 2022, while the Electoral Commission meets with the Candidates and their polling agents and as well as UGCS, for a preview of the voting system.
