The Academic Affairs Directorate of the University of Ghana has suspended the display of degree classifications on the graduation portal.

This decision follows advocacy by Radio Univers and complaints from students over privacy concerns and the public display of their graduating classes.

The graduands argued that the feature allowed individuals to look up the class of other graduates, a situation many described as uncomfortable and intrusive.

Currently, the portal features a list of eligible graduands set to graduate during the congregation ceremonies scheduled to begin on February 10, 2026. At present, the public can only view the names and academic programmes of the graduands, with the specific “Class” now hidden from general view.
