The Provost of the College of Education at the University of Ghana, Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, has reaffirmed the University’s commitment to delivering a transformative student experience that empowers learners to lead and make meaningful contributions to society.
Speaking on day one of the University’s Open Day On-Campus Experience, held at the UG Sports Stadium Car Park on Wednesday, October 22, 2025,
Professor Codjoe said the institution prides itself on nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to drive positive change.
“At the University of Ghana, we are proud to offer a transformative student experience, which is a central pillar of our 2024–2029 Strategic Plan,” he said.
“This experience nurtures academic excellence, personal development, and global readiness, ensuring that our students are not only educated but also empowered to lead and make an impact. Through innovative teaching, modern facilities, and strong support systems, we make learning engaging, inclusive, and future-focused.”
Professor Codjoe encouraged prospective students to approach their academic journey with curiosity and determination, emphasizing that these qualities form the foundation of success.
He also reaffirmed the University’s dedication to inclusivity and equal access to education, highlighting the vital role of the Centre for Disability Studies and Advocacy (CEDSA) in ensuring that all learners receive the support they need.
“Our commitment to academic rigour remains steadfast,” he noted.
“Through the Centre for Disability Studies and Advocacy, we ensure that all students—regardless of physical or learning challenges—have the support and tools they need to thrive.”
The Open Day On-Campus Experience is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to engage prospective students and provide them with firsthand insights into academic life at Ghana’s premier university.
