UG: VC to cut sod for first Hotspot Comfort Zone construction

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo is set to cut sod for the first Hotspot Comfort Zone construction under the Digitalisation Initiative.

The construction is being sponsored by the University of Ghana Alumni Association.

The Hotspot Comfort Zones are part of a three-pronged initiative aimed at providing a conducive environment for students to engage in online learning and research.

The sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of the first Hotspot Comfort Zone is scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11 a.m.

The event will take place adjacent to the Maison Française and the Athletics Oval on the university campus.

The University of Ghana invites all members of the university community to attend the ceremony and witness the groundbreaking for this important project.

The Hotspot Comfort Zones will provide students with a reliable and high-speed internet connection, enabling them to access digital resources for their academic work.

This initiative is part of the university’s efforts to embrace the digital age and enhance the learning experience of its students.

The Alumni Association is proud to sponsor this project, which will help to bridge the digital divide and provide equal access to digital resources for all students.
