The University of Ghana (UG) has announced that admissions for the 2025/26 academic year will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

This was communicated in a statement issued by the University on November 29, 2025, following the release of the 2025 WASSCE results. The statement urged applicants to log into their portals and verify the authenticity of the information they submitted.

“The application portal will be closed at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025,” the statement said.

The University added that applicants must thoroughly review critical details such as their full name, date of birth, and examination records (index number, exam month, and year) to ensure they correspond with the information provided in their application.

To assist applicants in making realistic programme choices, UG has also published the official list of 2024/2025 entry cut-off aggregates, available at: https://admissions.ug.edu.gh/undergraduate/cut-off

For prospective applicants who have not yet applied, e-vouchers are still available at designated banks or via the USSD code *8879# on all mobile networks. The University emphasised that once the deadline passes, the portal will no longer be accessible.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to act promptly to secure their opportunity to join Ghana’s premier university.

They are further advised to ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete before final submission.
