Kylian Mbappé Lottin has etched his name into the top 10 scorers chart of Europe’s flagship football competition, the Uefa Champions League.

The 25-year-old scored a brace to eliminate Barcelona in a 4-1 victory in the second leg of the quarter-final of the Uefa Champions League.

This took the French winger’s total goals to 48, placing him alongside legends such as Zlatan Ibrahimović and Andriy Shevchenko on the number 10 slot.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the pack with 140 goals, followed by Lionel Messi with 129 goals. Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski has bagged 94 goals, with former Real Madrid legend Benzema scoring 90 goals before departing Europe.

Raul Gonzalez has 71 goals, Van Nistelrooy with 56, Thomas Muller with 54, Thierry Henry with 50 goals, Alfredo Di Stefano with 49 goals. Ibrahimovic, Shevchenko, and Mbappé complete the list with 48 goals each.

Mbappé, whose double against Barcelona puts him in the lead for the Champions League golden boot with 8 goals, has the opportunity to win the elusive golden boot for the first time in his career.

Mbappé, Lewandoski and Thomas Muller are the only active players in the top 10 who are still playing in Europe.

Kylian Mbappé will thus be eager to enhance his goal tally as Paris Saint-Germain faces Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday, May 1st.
