Two former Radio Univers journalists to be honoured at 2021 GJA awards

Two past journalists of Campus-based radio station, Radio Univers, have been nominated for the 2021 Ghana Journalists Association Awards.

Manuel Koranteng, who was the host of the station’s morning show, Campus Exclusive; and Daryl Kwawu, who was the station’s News Editor, will receive awards at the event, which is expected to take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Kempinski Hotel.

The Ghana Journalist Association announced the nominations on Monday, November 7, 2022, and disclosed that twenty-five awards will be given out.

The theme for this year’s awards is “Walking the path towards economic recovery: The role of the Media.”

Journalists from Joy News, Media General, Graphic Communications Group, The EIB Group, The Fourth Estate, Ghanaian Times, GBC, GH One TV,  Atinka Media, and others also received nominations.

The journalists were picked based on, among other things, their captivating headlines, good intro, verified facts and data references, coherent presentations, etc.

The Ghana Journalists Association Awards provides a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.

The awards cut across Broadcast Journalism, Business and Finanacial Reporting, Environmental Jounalism, Feature and Magazine Writing, Global and Internation Journalism, News Reporting, Online or Multi-Media Journalism and Photojournalism.
