The Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) has declared a nationwide strike starting on Friday, September 27, 2024.

This decision follows the government’s failure to fulfill its commitments outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and its neglect to implement updated allowances for senior members of public universities.

As a result, TUSAAG has warned that it will halt all services at technical universities across the country until their demands are fully addressed.

The association emphasized that they have exhausted all avenues for further dialogue and now insist on the complete implementation of the CBA provisions.

In a statement, TUSAAG expressed their disappointment with the government’s repeated failure to honor the agreement, despite several assurances.

They specifically pointed to the government’s refusal to implement the revised allowances, as directed by the Ministry of Finance in May 2024, as a violation of their rights.
