A young Ghanaian graduate from Takoradi Technical University (TTU), Justice Plo Prempeh, is preparing to attempt a Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon this December.
The 21-year-old Construction Engineering graduate will begin his challenge on December 19 and sing non-stop until December 24, 2025, aiming to etch his name in history as the first Ghanaian male and the youngest person worldwide to attempt such a feat.
Justice told Univers Entertainment’s Kvng Kelly on At The DJ’s Mercy on August 29, 2025, that his motivation goes beyond personal glory.
“The reason why I’m attempting this feat is to, one, promote our culture—the African culture as a whole. Two, to also break a record that has been standing for almost 10 years. And also, to become the first male in the country to attempt this feat, and the youngest worldwide to do so at just 21 years old,” he explained.
With the current record standing for nearly a decade, Justice is determined to make history while shining a spotlight on African music and culture.
He is also appealing to the Ghanaian public for support and sponsorships to help make his dream a reality.
“I would be grateful if you all could rally your support behind me. I am reaching out to all Ghanaians for their support in the upcoming events scheduled for December 19 to 24. That’s the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual. So I’m seeking sponsorships as well as support on the very day,” he said.
As the countdown to December begins, Justice’s bold attempt is already generating excitement, with many eager to see if he can not only break the record but also bring global recognition to Ghana’s vibrant music culture.
