The 67th University of Ghana Students’ Representative Council (UGSRC) Week came to a colourful close on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with a grand finale concert that drew thousands of students and wrapped up the celebrations on a high note.
Festivities began on Sunday, August 10, with a Gospel Rock Show at the Diaspora Desert. The evening featured the PENSA–Legon Choir alongside top gospel acts, including the legendary Daughters of Glorious Jesus, setting a vibrant tone for a week filled with worship, creativity, and community spirit.
Throughout the week, students participated in cooking contests, games, cultural displays, and talent showcases — activities that highlighted the diversity and ingenuity of Legon’s student body.
Saturday’s finale brought together some of Ghana’s biggest performers, including Sarkodie, D Cryme, Alorg, Edoh YAT, Gona Boy, and RJZ, who kept the crowd buzzing well into the night. A memorable moment came when UGSRC President Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru, mounted the stage to thank the students:
“Big shout-out to all the Legonites. Big shout-out to everyone for coming here. This is your 67th SRC Administration.”
This year’s celebration carried extra significance as it marked the final UGSRC Week under the leadership of President Maradona Yeboah Adjei (Guru) and Vice President Jeffery Adu-Yeboah (Jay Lit). Together, they capped their tenure with a show of unity, music, and lasting memories.
As the curtains fell on the 67th UGSRC Week, attention now turns to the incoming administration and how the next leaders will build on this legacy, continue fostering unity, and deliver innovative programmes that reflect the aspirations of Legon students.
