The Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company and GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi has been cautioned and pardoned by the Presidency over the viral video where he was caught on tape doling out wads of dollars to controversial evangelist, Portia Koranteng alias Nana Agradaa.

The development comes on the back of the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah to the Jubilee House to explain his involvement in the said video which sent tongues wagging among the general public.

Speaking at a press conference on May 14, the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Ofosu Kwakye intimated that during the meeting with the Chief of Staff, Mr Gyamfi clarified the circumstances revolving around the video and apologized for his actions which have brought the image of the John Mahama- led administration into disrepute.

Sammy Gyamfi was subsequently reprimanded and cautioned to be very careful of his dealings as a public officer going forward  given the modest attitude and dispensation the new administration wants to lead the country with.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu further emphasized the commitment of the administration to deal ruthlessly with any actions of any government appointee that dents its anti corruption and good governance mantra.

The actions of Mr Gyamfi as assessed by the Presidency, does not trigger any further punitive actions towards the said officer after his caution and subsequent apology published on his social media platforms as well.
