The Campus Coordinator of the Ultimate Charismatic Centre, Pastor Gordon Milton Anyemin, has called on students to resist the growing pressure to follow social trends and instead align their lives with the counsel and will of God.

Speaking at the Destiny Summit held at the University of Ghana campus on Saturday, March 7, 2026, he expressed concern that many young people, particularly Gen Zs, are drifting from their prophetic destinies. He noted that they are being shaped more by societal trends than by spiritual guidance.

“The reason why a student must attend a Christian programme is that you get to discover the will of God concerning your life. You get to be empowered,” he said, stressing the importance of Christian fellowship. Quoting scripture, he added that believers must not forsake gathering together because “anytime we come to fellowship, we are empowered, our faith is strengthened.”

Pastor Anyemin further explained that isolation makes young people spiritually vulnerable.

“When you see the sheep grazing, the one that is isolated becomes the target of the predator. So whenever we come together, there is preservation as well,” he noted, emphasizing that Christian gatherings help students receive the mind of God and clarity about their destinies.

He revealed that the programme was intentionally brought to the Legon campus because many young people are “not walking in their prophetic destiny” and are instead following trends and influences that derail their purpose.

“We saw that it was very imperative that we bring this to their doorstep, where they will be taught the ways of God and walk in the counsel of God concerning their lives,” he explained.

Pastor Anyemin also announced that more Christian programmes will be organized across campuses, including UG and UPSA, describing them as part of a broader effort to spiritually equip the youth.

Some University of Ghana students who attended the Destiny Summit described the night as uplifting, spiritually refreshing, and deeply impactful.

Speaking to Univers News after the programme, they shared their reflections.

One student noted that the atmosphere alone made the event memorable.

“I had a nice experience. I danced, the sound and everything was perfect. It was a great experience,” she said, adding that programmes like this help students build their spiritual lives.

Another attendee described the night as “amazing and powerful,” urging that such gatherings should happen more often.

“It should be happening all the time. You can’t miss such experiences—from the worship to the people they brought to us. I personally came because of Minister Kweku Teye.”

A third student emphasized the long-term value of such events for young believers.

“This programme is meant to inspire students. The continuous sessions will be an eye-opener to many believers on campus. It helps us connect more with what we want to do in the future and gives us a straight guideline to follow.”

Lastly, another attendee also stressed that Christian programmes are essential for spiritual growth and direction.

“You get to discover the will of God concerning your life. You are empowered. Our faith is strengthened when we gather. When we come together, there is preservation, and we discover our destinies.”
