Papaye Fast food Ltd. opens 10th branch at East Legon

The board, management and staff of Papaye Fast Foods, Ghana have opened the new Papaye branch at the East legon in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

This grand opening is in line with the Company’s vision to serve the Ghanaian citizenry with delectable meals and also provide employment opportunities for the youth in East Legon and its environs.

The opening ceremony of the new Papaye branch marks an exciting and important milestone as in the food company’s history as the newly opened branch is the 10th branch since the inception of Papaye in 1991.

Narrations indicate that the Ghanaian division of the food company started with a ten-member team of workers at its Osu branch, a testament of how far the food company had made strides along the years since.

The grand opening was graced by renowned personalities like Group Head of operations for Calbank, East legon branch, Mr Joojo Hammond, Deputy Director for Quality Assurance at the Ghana Tourism Authority, Madam Roberta Okine, Representative for Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, Group Head of Operations for Absa Bank, East Legon branch, Mr. Collins Ofori among other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Group CEO of Papaye Fast Food Ltd, Mr. Divine Asiedu assured that the newly opened branch will not only serve delectable meals but also create a welcoming space for gatherings and celebrations to create long lasting memories.

“Today marks a very significant milestone in the journey of Papaye Fast food and we are thrilled to extend our culinary footprints to this vibrant community of East legon. To the East legon community, local businesses and esteemed guests we are thrilled to be a part of your lives. Our promise is not only to serve delectable dishes but also create a welcoming space for gatherings and celebrations to create lasting memories.”

“This East Legon branch is more than a place to dine. It is a place where friendships will be formed, and families will come together.”

Mr. Asiedu further commended the Papaye team for their services, giving particular mention of the relentless efforts of the vision bearer of the company, Dr. Samir Kalmoni.

Also addressing the gathering, Mr. Emmanuel Tefe who delivered a speech on behalf of the Executive chairman revealed that, Papaye employs about 60 percent of workforce of the communities in which they operate as per Papaye’s policy which goes a long way to deal with the unemployment canker Ghana faces.

He further mentioned that Papaye remains poised to supporting local initiatives and fostering partnerships that benefit the community.

“To prove our commitment to improving the communities in which we operate, as per our policy, Papaye employs 60% of our workforce from these communities. This is helping to curb the issue of unemployment. We wish to assure you that we will continue to strive for excellence and exceed expectation.”

Subsequently, representative from the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Madam Roberta Okine, commended Papaye for the services they render in supporting the economy and the tourism industry in particular.

According to her, the “GTA appreciates [Papaye’s] contribution to the tourism, hospitality industries and the economy as a whole.”

Madam Roberta further urged the management of Papaye to continue with their good work urging them to give attention to customer service and satisfaction.
