The General Secretary of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) Nana Adu Gyamfi has confirmed the upcoming payment of September and October allowances for outgoing personnel.
This announcement aligns with the completion of their service and the commencement of the 2024/2025 service year, which officially begun today
Speaking to Univers News, General Secretary for NASPA, Nana Adu Gyamfi has revealed that September allowances for the outgoing personnel would be paid by next week, with October’s following shortly after.
“We are looking at the end of this week or early next week for the payment. So hopefully by early next week, the allowances for September will be paid, and maybe during that same week or the week after that of October will also be paid.”
He urged those facing payment delays to contact their district NSS managers for resolution.
“If there is anyone like that who in months past has not been paid, they should go and see their NSS district manager, make their complaints, they will take their details and hopefully during this period as all the payments have been done, they will also be paid.”
Regarding welfare, Nana Adu Gyamfi assured that new personnel facing challenges, including accommodation, should rely on district managers, who will coordinate with local authorities to ensure their comfort and safety at their postings.
“We have NSS district managers, that is across the 251 districts in the country, that when you report to your place of posting, they have any issue you go to. You could also rely on the district assemblies. They will help you get accommodation.”
He further assured that National Service personnel have been adequately supported in their placements, emphasizing that their well-being were prioritized.
”I can confidently say that all the National Service personnel who have been posted are very comfortable and okay with their posting.”
