The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its call for a forensic audit of the 2024 voters’ register and its IT system in a follow-up letter to the Electoral Commission (EC) dated September 24, 2024.

The NDC’s demand follows a previous petition submitted on September 17, 2024, which went unanswered by the EC, prompting this reiteration.

In a letter, signed by General Secretary Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, addresses the Chairperson of the EC and underscored the urgency of the request amid rising political tensions as the December elections approach.

The NDC further urged the EC to act swiftly to address these issues, highlighting the importance of transparency and fairness in election administration.

They called for the forensic audit to align with the EC’s declared motto of

“Transparency, Fairness, and Integrity.”
