The Ghana Football Association (GFA) released the fixtures for the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League Season on Tuesday 29 July,2024.
The much anticipated GPL starts on Friday, September 6, 2024.
There are exciting fixtures that include derbies, newcomers, and the super clash.
The dates for the clashes between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League Super Clash have been confirmed by the GFA.
The fixtures will occur in December 2024 and May 2025.
Asante Kotoko is set to host their bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the first leg of the superclass at the renowned Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi between December 13 and 16, 2024.
The return fixture will be held at the famous Accra Sports Stadium between May 2 and 5, 2025.
It is always a cagey affair anytime these two powerhouse of the Ghana Premier League meet.
In the previous season, Asante Kotoko completed the Ghana Premier League double over fierce rivals Hearts of Oak for the first time since 1987.
The porcupines defeated Hearts of Oak back-to-back across the Ghana Premier League last season after beating them 3:2 away from home even though the match was played in Kumasi in the first leg and doubled the results in their favor with a commanding 2-0 win in the second leg at home.
The Porcupines recently made it three wins on the trot despite a massive player overhaul after securing a 2-1 win over the Phobians in the maiden Democracy Cup final.
Kotoko claimed the bragging rights with celebration expected to go deep into the following day in the boisterous city of Kumasi while Hearts stayed in the capital empty-handed.
Can Hearts of Oak avenge these losses in the upcoming season or will Kotoko continue their dominance over their fierce rivals?
