The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced the opening of the second transfer period and registration window for the 2025/2026 football season.
In a statement dated December 8, 2025, and addressed to all Premier League, Division One League, Women’s Premier League, and Regional Football Association clubs, the GFA confirmed that the second registration window will open on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and close on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
According to the statement, both international and domestic transfers will be permitted during the window, giving clubs the opportunity to strengthen their squads for the remainder of the season.
Clubs are required to process all player transfers and registrations through the Transfer Matching System before the deadline.
The Association further reminded clubs that players must be fully registered before the close of the window to be eligible for competition.
It also warned that clubs that fail to meet the minimum requirement of twenty (20) approved players by the end of the registration period risk being deactivated.
The GFA noted that the 2025/2026 football season, which commenced on September 12, 2025, is scheduled to conclude on May 30, 2026.
