Freshmen at the University of Ghana have shared their favourite serene spots on campus where they enjoy spending time as they adapt to University life.

In an exclusive interview with Univers Entertainment, some students explained that these locations provide calm and comfortable environments for studying, relaxing, and socializing, which helps them cope with the academic and social demands of campus life.

One freshman mentioned that her favourite place so far is the University of Ghana Business School, particularly the benches near the security post.

“As a fresher, I really like the Business School. The benches near the security post are where my friends and I usually sit to study and relax. It is very calm and comfortable,” she shared.

Others pointed to their hostels as their preferred spots on campus. A student from Pent Hall noted that the hostel’s location makes it easy to access lecture halls and other facilities.

“My favourite place on campus is my hostel, Pent Hall. It helps me get to campus easily, and I can walk to my lecture halls anytime. I really enjoy staying there,” the student explained.

The Night Market was also prominently featured among students’ favourite spots. Some freshmen highlighted it as a convenient place to find food and other essential items.

“The Night Market is my favourite place on campus. It really helps me with food items, vegetables, provisions, academic materials, and even shawarma,” one student remarked.

Additionally, several freshmen praised the University of Ghana Business School Library, describing it as a serene and well-equipped study space with comfortable seating, reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and strong security.

Although many freshmen are still new to campus life, their responses reflect a growing sense of comfort and safety. The variety of favourite places indicates that students are gradually discovering spaces that enhance both their academic and social experiences at the University of Ghana.
