Students at Central University have voiced frustration over poor campus conditions despite paying high tuition and dues.

Taking to social media with the hashtag #FixCentralUniversity, the students launched a protest demanding urgent improvements to infrastructure and safety on and around the university.

‎One of their main concerns is the poor condition of roads on and around campus, which students say has led taxi drivers to hike fares.

“The road is very bad. When it rains, we find it difficult to get to campus. We have to walk on muddy roads to get to class, and taxi drivers charge more than they should.”

‎Others pointed to the lack of streetlights on campus, saying the darkness has made them vulnerable to theft.

‎”There are no streetlights.Everywhere is dark in the evening and it gives the ‘kwashey’ boys the opportunity to attack us when we’re heading to campus to study,” one student said.

Students also questioned why they are required to pay for services they claim they don’t receive.

“We pay for things we don’t even get.We pay for field trips, but we don’t even go on any field trips.”

‎The dissatisfied  students are calling on university authorities to take immediate action.
