Confusion broke out at the Ningo Prampram Collation Centre as disagreements between the police and members of the public escalated. The commotion arose when security personnel denied the public access to the collation centre as ballot boxes were being delivered.

Eyewitnesses say the restrictions sparked agitation among some individuals who felt excluded from the process, leading to heated exchanges with the police. The situation created a tense atmosphere, with calls for calm from onlookers and election stakeholders.

The Ghana Police Service had earlier announced strict security measures to prevent unauthorized access to collation centres, allowing only accredited individuals such as media personnel, candidates, and election agents. However, the exclusion of members of the public seems to have heightened suspicions and frustrations.
