As Ghana goes to polls today, the 7th of December 2024, some voting centers have been hit with missing names and verification challenges.

These issues have caused delays and started to grow frustration amongst voters.

Similar issues were reported in the Ablekuma Central Constituency, raising concerns about the accuracy of the voter register, which was expected to undergo thorough verification ahead of the elections.

In other areas, such as Tamale Central and Wulensi, biometric verification devices encouraged some challenges, halting the voting process temporarily.

Not a single vote has been cast at the Faith Academy polling station in the Ledzokuku Constituency due to malfunctioning Biometric Verification Devices.

The delays have sparked tensions among affected voters with some fearing disenfranchisement

For example, confusion erupted at the Old Library polling station in the Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, over alleged missing names.
