Due to technical issues with the Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs), Electoral Commission (EC) officials at several polling places in the Sege Constituency of the Greater Accra Region have turned to facial verification.

As an example, when multiple attempts to obtain their fingerprints failed, over 14 voters at the Goi Pentecost Center 2B used facial verification.

Technical issues with the BVDs caused significant delays in the voting process.

Voters stood in line waiting for their turn to cast their ballots, being composed and patient in spite of the difficulties.

In order to prevent any more delays or interruptions, polling authorities have said they are striving to make sure the process goes smoothly.
