Eco-Africa Network is set to host the Climate Justice Conference 2025, a landmark event aimed at promoting fairness, accountability, and equitable environmental policies.

The conference will take place at the Dr. Daniel McKorley Moot Court, GIMPA Law School, on April 3-4, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day.

The event will bring together policymakers, legal experts, academics, and young activists to explore legal solutions, innovative policies, and community-driven approaches to climate justice. Organized by Eco-Africa Network, a youth-led climate organization dedicated to sustainability awareness and cleaner energy advocacy, the conference seeks to ensure climate justice remains a focal point of national and regional discourse.

This year’s conference features an esteemed lineup of speakers. Mrs. Samira Bawumia, Former Second Lady of Ghana, will deliver a keynote address on “Climate Justice, Women, and Children: Ensuring Equity in the Fight Against Climate Change.” The Minister of State in Charge of Climate Change and Sustainability will outline Ghana’s legal and policy strategies for a just and sustainable future. Hon. Justice Edward Amoako Asante, former President of the ECOWAS Court of Justice, will discuss the role of regional courts in advancing climate justice and enforcing environmental rights.

The Climate Justice Conference 2025 is made possible through strategic collaborations with organizations committed to environmental advocacy. Partners include Frontline for Climate Action, GIMPA Law School, the Law Students Association (GIMPA LSA), GIMPA SRC, CESSMA, iSupreme, and Tictok. Their collective efforts aim to ensure the conference serves as a catalyst for legal and policy reforms in climate justice.

The conference will provide insights from renowned experts on climate justice and environmental law. It will facilitate policy-driven discussions addressing climate injustice while fostering networking opportunities between policymakers, legal experts, and climate activists. Additionally, it aims to inspire actionable solutions that promote climate accountability and equitable policies.

With growing concerns over climate change impacts, the Climate Justice Conference 2025 will play a crucial role in advancing legal frameworks and advocacy efforts. As climate challenges intensify, this event provides an opportunity to push for sustainable policies that ensure fairness and environmental responsibility.
