EC to conduct 3-day mop up voters registration nationwide from 1st August

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced plans to conduct a 3-day mop up voters’ registration exercise from August 1st across its district offices in the country.

This was stated in a letter addressed to the general secretary of the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the December elections. The exercise would also take place at the prison centres.

“This comes to inform you that the Commission will conduct a Mop Up Voter Registration Exercise at all the District Offices of the Commission throughout the country. The Registration will also be extended to the Prison Centres.”

The exercise has been scheduled for 1st August to 3rd August this year, followed by an IPAC

“This exercise will take place from Thursday 1 August to Saturday, 3rd August, 2024. The modalities for the exercise will be discussed at an IPAC to be held in due course.”
