Dreams Fc have emplaned from Ghana to Egypt ahead of the team’s first-leg CAF Confederation Cup semi-final tie against Zamalek in Cairo.

The Ghanaian club advanced to the last four of the competition after defeating Stade de Malien via a 3-2 aggregate scoreline, securing their maiden semi-final berth in the process.

Dreams Fc, who became the first Ghanaian side since Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak (2004) to reach the semi-final of the Caf Confederation Cup, face an uphill task in overcoming a star-studded Zamalek side who won the competition 5 years ago.

Nonetheless, Dreams Fc has displayed an edge of competitiveness in the tournament, with 13 goals to show for their bravery and adeptness in front of goal.

However, for the teams best effort, they are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home in the competition, raising eye brows due to Zamalek’s prolific nature in front of goal. The Egyptians are joint top scorers of the competition with Dreams Fc, scoring 13 goals.

The Caf Confederation Cup debutant will hope their 5hr and 44 minute journey will soon end for them to touch down in Cairo in order to prepare adequately for a grueling encounter with Zamalek on April, 21, 2024, at the Cairo International Stadium.
