Beach Soccer: Okere Rangers suffer thumping defeat against Dansoman BSC

In an exciting and fiercely contested match, Okere Rangers faced off against Dansoman BSC at Laboma Beach on Saturday, 8th June, 2024.

The highly anticipated game lived up to its expectations, showcasing skills, strategy, and series of thrilling moments.

The epic clash kicked off at 3 pm, with both teams eager to assert their dominance early on. Dansoman BSC in the early stages of the game, took an aggressive stance, pushing forward with a high-press strategy, while Okere Rangers focused on a solid defensive set up, looking for opportunities to hit on the break.

The first half was comprehensively dominated by Dansoman BSC, who managed to capitalize on the numerous opportunities created to take the lead after a series of defensive blunders. The second half, however, looked better for Okre Rangers, who grew into the game.

However, as determined as they were, that did not seem enough as Dansoman BSC made matters worse for the Apirede-based side, who conceded two quick goals in the early minutes of the second half to settle matters for Dansomnan BSC .


In the final half of the game, the deficit was halved miraculously by Okere Rangers, who were determined to stage dramatic a comeback. Unfortunately, that did not live to see the light of the day as the final stage of the game saw Dansoman BSC deepen the woes of Okere Rangers.

Speaking after the game, the newly appointed manager and PRO of Okere Rangers, Mr Prince Owusu Ansah, shared his opinion on the defeat, describing it as a season’s blue, and hopeful that the campaign would get better despite Saturday’s defeat.
