Attram De Visser Sporting Club, a Division One side, have beaten Premier League team Techiman Eleven Wonders 4–0 to reach the quarter-final stage of the MTN FA Cup competition.
In an interview with the club’s Communications Manager, Nana Prempeh, after the game, he was asked whether the club could go on to win the FA Cup. He responded, “We are taking the games one by one, and our next opponent is Ghana Premier League leaders Medeama SC, which is a tougher challenge and a repetition of that famous and controversial 2020/2021 quarter-final at Ackon Park in Tarkwa.”
He added that the team is always ready to face any opponent without fear, capitalising on the Akan slogan of the competition.
“We are more than ready for every team the draw picks for us, and as the competition slogan says, ‘obiaa nnyɛ obiaa.’ We will continue to invest heavily in the FA Cup until we achieve what we wish for this young team.”
Coach Godwin Attram’s side started the 2025/26 FA Cup season with a 5–4 penalty shootout victory over Golden Kick after a thrilling 2–2 draw in regulation time at Nania Park, Legon Campus. This has been their only home game in the tournament so far in 2026, during the preliminary round.
In the Round of 64, the team faced Premier League side Vision FC, whom they defeated 1–0. Their focus on the cup continued with another penalty shootout victory, supported by an outstanding performance from Ghana’s penalty-saving goalkeeper, Manaf Ibrahim, as they eliminated Port City FC in the Round of 32 at Ohene Park in Kukuratumi.
Securing a ticket to face another Premier League club, Eleven Wonders, in the Round of 16 was tough, but their pursuit of the trophy continued to motivate them. They recorded an emphatic 4–0 victory despite playing with ten men after central defender Precious Yaw Gyimah was red-carded just fifteen minutes into the first half.
Attram De Visser Sporting Club have been competitive and consistent in the MTN FA Cup over the past five years, and they have once again reached the last eight of the 2025/26 edition.
They will be eyeing a spot in the Ghana Premier League in subsequent seasons.
