The name of the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Honourable Cecilia Abena Dapaah has popped up in the news in recent times over a trending issue of large amounts of cash being stolen from her residence by current and ex employees which has sent tongues wagging among the citizenry.
A news story published by the Chronicle newspaper reveals that huge amounts of money in both foreign and local currencies were retrieved from the bedroom of the Minister and her husband, Daniel Osei Kuffour between the months of July and October, 2022 at the Abelemkpe residence.
The revelations emerged after the couple filed the case at the police station ,which was subsequently referred to an Accra Circuit Court for trial proceedings.
The accused persons within the age range of 18 to 30 years namely , Patience Botwe (18) and Sarah Agyei (30) stole huge sums of monies from the residence after working as house helps in the premises of the couple running into millions of cedis.

- Assorted clothing valued at Ghc 95,000
- Perfumes
- Handbags
- Jewelleries valued at US$ 95,000
- 6 pieces of Kente cloth worth us$ 90,000
- 6 sets of men’s suits valued at US$ 3,000
Meanwhile , the 5 accused persons including 18 year old Patience and her current as well as ex lovers together with her dad have been arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court presided over by Her Ladyship Susana Ekuful.
They have been remanded into police custody to reappear on August 2,2023.
