Grace Compassion Global Foundation, in conjunction with the TD Jakes Foundation, has organised the “NextGen Success Pathways Summit” with a strong focus on youth development and harnessing opportunities to build young people’s capacities and create meaningful impact in society.
The event was held on May 13, 2026, at the ISSER Conference Facility of the University of Ghana and drew participation from representatives of the non-profit sector, young business leaders, students, and members of the general public.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Univers News, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Grace Compassion Global Foundation, Dr. Grace Opuni-Darko, stated that the primary aim of the Foundation is to mentor young men and women and develop their capacities and potential.
“At our level as a development-oriented foundation, it is important to recognise that the youth of today are the future leaders who will push Ghana, and in the broader sense Africa, towards achieving its full potential. As such, partnerships like this one with the respected TD Jakes Foundation go a long way in creating structured educational pathways and career development mechanisms that sharpen the capacity of young people to face the challenges of today’s highly complex world, where efficiency is a key requirement for sustained success,” she said.
Also speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of the TD Jakes Foundation, Kelley Cornish, stated that the partnership with the Grace Compassion Global Foundation is strategic in empowering focused and determined young individuals through training and structured mentorship.
“The long-term vision is that once we identify dedicated individuals and guide them through the pathways we have curated, their futures become more secure. In doing so, the value created will positively impact their communities in diverse ways while also creating wealth for all,” he said.
The event featured keynote addresses from key partners and corporate organisations, as well as panel sessions and plenary discussions centred on personal development, career management, professional networking, and peer-to-peer mentorship.
