Some students at the University of Ghana (UG) have expressed mixed reactions following the release of the provisional end-of-semester examination timetable for the 2025/2026 first semester.
Released on Monday, March 2, 2026, the timetable has sparked discussions about preparedness, as some students are still completing their interim assessments.
Speaking to Univers News, some students said they feel pressured as they balance ongoing assessments with preparations for the upcoming examinations.
“I feel a bit pressured because I’m preparing for my IA and, at the same time, the exam is approaching, so I have to study for both,” one student said.
“I’m so pressured. I have about five more IAs. I can’t imagine the stress I’m going to go through,” another student lamented.
However, other students see the timetable as motivation to intensify their studies.
“It’s a way to remind me that time is going, so I have to study harder,” one student said.
“You can’t say that because you are still writing IAs you won’t prepare for the exams. You have to be prepared when the time comes. It’s a semester, and it has to end,” another student commented.
Meanwhile, some students say they are able to balance preparations for both their interim assessments and the upcoming examinations.
