Former Deputy Minister for Tourism Arts and Culture , Mark Okraku-Mantey, has finally responded to broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah after she criticised his impact on the entertainment industry earlier this year.
In February 2025, while speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Nana Aba reacted to Mark’s comments about the show not addressing industry issues.
She questioned his credibility and his influence during his time in office and stated that he shouldn’t ask what others use their platform for.
“He was given a position to make the industry better. What was his impact? It was zero. He shouldn’t question people on what to use their platform for.”
Her remarks went viral, and many expected a quick response from Mark, but he remained silent for months.
Speaking on Aluta FM’s Afro Joint show with Fiifi Prat, the former minister remarked that he didn’t want his CV questioned and advised her to protect her own CV.
“I don’t talk a lot. I know my CV, so I don’t need anybody to play my CV to me. I managed Hits FM. She was also given GHOne — and you heard the stories at GHOne?”
“I don’t need to comment on her; she must protect her CV. Years back, she lied that she was at Old Trafford for a match.”
His response has sparked new conversations online as both public figures defend their contributions and legacies in the entertainment space.
