Students of the University of Ghana have shared mixed reactions to Kumawood actor Samuel Nkansah, popularly known as Oboi Siki, after his shocking revelation about his past romantic escapades and alleged relationship with the late actress Araba Stamp.

The actor, speaking on Rush Hour on Sunday, September 28, 2025, admitted that before fame, he was “actively chasing women” and could easily get them for sexual satisfaction. His comments have since sparked debate among students on campus.

One student dismissed the actor’s claims as mere attention-seeking:

“I really don’t think what he’s saying is true. All he wants is fame. He’s actually saying that just to gain fame.”

Another, however, argued that his statement could hold some truth:

“There could be a possibility that he’s telling the truth because we don’t know the truth. No one has any evidence of it, but he’s just saying it. So, I feel it can be true.”

Others believe his reputation makes the confession believable.

“In my opinion, I’m not surprised. I believe what he’s saying is valid because men have long had a reputation for being womanizers — not just today but even in the past. So, if he’s saying he’s been a womanizer for years, I think it could be true.”

For many students, the discussion reflects how personal reputations shape the way people perceive one’s statements, whether they are fact or fiction.
